Common Side Effects:

• Nausea and vomiting
• Loss of appetite
• Fatigue

Less Common Side Effects:

• Low blood cell counts (white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets)
• Infections
• Anemia
• Bruising or bleeding easily
• Fever
• Mouth sores
• Changes in taste
• Swelling of hands, feet, or ankles
• Muscle weakness
• Back pain
• Blurred vision
• Cough
• Shortness of breath
• Difficulty swallowing
• Confusion
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Hallucinations
• Seizures
• Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, difficulty breathing)

Serious Side Effects:

• Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis)
• Liver problems (jaundice, dark urine, abdominal pain)
• Kidney problems (changes in urination, swelling in the feet or ankles)
• Severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis)
• Secondary cancers, including myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia

Temodar can cause harm to an unborn baby and is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during treatment with Temodar and for a period after the last dose.

Before taking Temodar, inform your healthcare provider about all medications you are taking, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Some medications may interact with Temodar.

The effects of Temodar may not be seen immediately. It may take several weeks to months to see the full effects of Temodar treatment. Your healthcare provider will monitor your progress closely.

It is not recommended to drink alcohol while taking Temodar, as it may increase the risk of liver damage.
